JE Mondejar Book Publishing House is a
third-generation family-owned company based in the Philippines with
satellite offices in Switzerland, England and Australia. Retired Colonel Manuel P. Mondejar started Mondejar Printing Press in 1945 and specialized in printing Congressional Records. He was the publisher of The Midweek Reporter and EVAA News, and a journalist for The Philippine Herald. He wrote two books, Leyte Firsts and Thoughts That Inspire for All Occasions and was the national president of the Press Alliance of the Philippines. The company building was inaugurated by no less than President Ramon Magsaysay and the offset printing machinery by Senator Gil J. Puyat. Second-generation owner Jose Rene E. Mondejar published the Book of Nudes when he was only 16 years old, the first songbook with guitar chords in the Philippines. He expanded the company by adding modern offset printing machines and publishing the Option newspaper and Scope Newsmagazine in Eastern Visayas. Now on its third-generation of family ownership, JE Mondejar Book Publishing House with Minerva Mondejar Steiner as its CEO is focusing on the international publication of books, magazines, and reading materials by Filipino and international writers, scientists and artists. Maya and Her Loyal Friends and The Adventures of Maya: The Lost Fields of Palale written by Dr. Bernadette Mondejar-Schlueter are the two latest publications of many titles scheduled in the company lineup. |
